One Click to Freedom? New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has announced new rules aimed at making it easier for consumers to cancel their Netflix, Amazon, and other subscription services.
The "Click to Cancel" rule, set to take effect on October 1, requires companies to allow cancellations with just one click.
The city's Department of Consumer and Worker Protection will mandate that terms be disclosed clearly and transparently, including automatic renewals and continuous service subscriptions.
